FAQ
Do I need to know how to needlepoint to shop at The Secret Stitchery?
Not at all! We love welcoming beginners. Whether you're picking up your first canvas or your fiftieth, we're happy to help you choose a project, select threads, and answer any questions along the way.
Do you offer beginner kits?
Yes! We offer beginner-friendly projects that include everything you need to get started. If you're not sure where to begin, just ask—we'd love to help you find the perfect first project.
Can someone help me choose threads?
Absolutely! One of our favorite things is helping customers select fibers. Whether you want classic, colorful, textured, or sparkly, we'll help you find the perfect combination for your canvas.
Can I purchase online?
Yes! Many of our canvases, and accessories are available through our online shop. If you're looking for something you don't see, please reach out—we're always happy to help.
Do you offer kitting services if I purchase a canvas online?
Yes! We'd be happy to. For online orders please note that you would like your canvas kitted in the Order Special Instructions text box that is positioned at the bottom of your cart. At checkout you will only be charged for the items in your cart plus sales tax and shipping. The purchase for the threads will take place once we connect with you via email to confirm selections and costs.
The Canvas I want to order from your website says Out Of Stock, is there any way I can still get it?
We might be able to order it for you, stop in, call or email us with the information and we will see what we can do.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes! We ship throughout the United States so stitchers everywhere can enjoy The Secret Stitchery. We hope to offer international shipping in the near future.
How quickly will my order ship?
Most in-stock orders ship within a few business days. We'll notify you if an item requires additional processing time.
Will my canvas arrived stitched?
No! What fun would that be? All canvases purchased on-line and in-store come taped, with a needle and ready to be stitched. Threads and canvases are all priced and sold separately.
Will the canvas I receive look exactly like the photo?
The majority of the canvases we carry are individually hand-painted, making each one a unique work of art. Slight variations in brushstrokes, paint placement, and color intensity are normal and part of their charm. In addition, colors can appear differently depending on your computer, tablet, or phone screen. We make every effort to photograph our products as accurately as possible, but slight variations are to be expected.
If you have any questions about a specific canvas before placing your order, please don't hesitate to contact us—we're always happy to help.
I don't needlepoint. Can I buy a gift for someone who does?
Absolutely! Gift cards are always a wonderful option, and we're happy to help you choose canvases, fibers, project bags, accessories, or other thoughtful gifts.
What is your return policy?
We want you to be happy. If you're not completely satisfied, most merchandise may be returned within 14 days of purchase for a refund or store credit. Canvases must be in new, unstitched condition, and threads and accessories must be unopened and in their original packaging. Proof of purchase is required.
